What is beauty to NIVEA? Beauty is more than one ideal and more than one idea...
We all have age old beauty hang-ups that we just can’t seem to get past (although generally nobody else seems to notice or mind!).
Here at nzgirl HQ we decided to do something about all those pesky skincare worries that we all have about getting older. We each opened up about our own personal age-old beauty hang-ups, and roadtested some NIVEA products to see whether they really do deliver on what they promise!
From wrinkly hands, and cellulite, right through to acne, we found that NIVEA has a solution for everything!
 Anya, Fashion and Beauty ManagerMy age old hang-up is: Cellulite Because: I know a lot of woman have it but it doesn't make me feel any better about wearing shorter lengths or hitting the pool after work. The product I'm using is: NIVEA Good-bye Cellulite Gel Cream Why I've got this product: It visibly reduces the appearance of cellulite using the L-carnitine a substance naturally occurring in the body known to be involved in fat metabolism. Additionally this gel-cream formula has a cooling effect which leads to an activation of blood circulation. I've found it to be: Really good, the non greasy formulation applies easily and absorbs quickly because of its gel base. It makes my skin feel smooth and taut, and whilst I haven't been using it long enough to see a visible reduction in my bumpy bits, I will definitely continue to use this product.  Nadia, Account Executive My ageold hang-up is: Sun damage/Sun spots. Because: I’ve been known to burn and peel. The product I'm using is: NIVEA VISAGE DNAge Cell Renewal Day. It also has a SPF 15 light filter system with ehanced UVA protection to keep my skin from getting any further damage. Why I've got this product: To repair my damaged skin. I've found it to be: Extremely moisturizing! Bonnie, Business  Development Manager My age old hang-up is: I all of a sudden look OLD! Why I've got this product: The SPF should protect me when I’m dining alfresco, which is most lunch times (I love the sun!). The night cream should help lift and tighten my skin while I sleep. Both creams are made from a new and improved formula with 100% more Q10 (the special ingredient) to provide even more anti-wrinkle protection. I've found it to be: Really soft and light. I hate greasy products as I worry they are going to cause pimples and make me look like an oily teenager (see I am in denial). This stuff felt weightless, soaked in quickly and was soft to touch throughout the day. In the morning my skin felt plumper but not so puffy. Very happy with the result – I’ll be making my way through the rest of the pot for sure!  Ramarea, Sub-EditorMy age old hang-up is: Annoying pimples. Because: Even though I’m out of my teens, I still get spots! Why I’ve got this product: It promises to work pore-deep to cleanse skin and visibly refine and smooth the complexion, helping to prevent impurities and kill any signs of pimple life. I’ve found it be: Good! The cleanser has a refreshing summer fresh scent, and it’s filled with gentle beads that work well to exfoliate the skin and remove stubborn dirt like makeup. It left my skin feeling clean and revived, and I haven’t had any spots – which I love!  Sarah, Art Director
My age old hang-up is: Wrinkly hands. Because: Conscious of them as they are pretty ugly… The fact that my nails are bitten down doesn’t help. My hands look like 50-year-old woman’s hands and are very wrinkly. The product I'm using is: NIVEA Hand DNAge® Cell Renewal Anti-Age Hand Care Zone Action with Folic AcidWhy I've got this product: It's developed to meet the moisture needs of dry skin and contains a powerful combination of ingredients, including Folic Acid – shown to increase skin cell renewal – and Creatine – known to act as an effective energy source for cells. Regular usage promises to increases surface cell renewal whilst UV filters (SPF 15) help protect against external damage and reduces premature skin ageing. I've found it to be: The texture was nice and not too thick, the fragrance was good and it didn’t leave that yuck oily feel!  Vicky, Campaign ManagerMy age old hang-up is: Dark bags, red circles under my eyes Why I've got this product: To help reduce the redness and puffiness that comes with tired eyes, and dark circles. I've found it to be: Helpful. It definitely helped support the cell renewel around my eyes and helps improve the vitality of my skin, so that my eyes don’t look so dark, red and tired. It’s a really nice, light formula that feels really nice on. I used it twice a day – morning and night. I think I’ve found the perfect addition to my skin care regime.
