This month we have challenges to help you make over your mind, your body, your living space and your relationships….
TAME
Make like an elephant and never forget. Go through your diary and jot down the birthdays of all your friends and family so you never miss one. If you want to make sure you remember to send a card or buy a present, put a reminder in the week before the person’s big day.
Control your Facebook/ Bebo/ MySpace addiction. If you’re a social network site junkie then aim to take a week off (I know, freaky!). Your profile will still be there when you go back to it and think of how much you’ll have to catch up on! If you can’t stomach a week, then at least aim for a few days.
INTERMEDIATE
Keep a diary. I was an avid diary writer throughout my teens and I recently stumbled across my collection. Even the tedious day-to-day workings of my life as a 13-year-old make for fascinating (not to mention hilarious) reading now. Make a habit of jotting down your thoughts and recording the things you get up to, it’s great to look back on later and realise just how much you’ve grown as a person.
Work less. It’s easy to get stuck on a treadmill of long hours, so make it your goal for the month to work smarter, not longer. After all there is still some of summer’s best weather to enjoy. Make sure you’re taking your lunch break and don’t feel bad leaving at the end of the day if you’ve got through all your work.
CHALLENGING
Become a runner. It might sound like a daunting task, so break it down into small steps. Aim to run 10 minutes three times a week this month, then in March get each run up to 15 minutes. If you keep increasing by five minutes a month you’ll be a pro before you know it.
Makeover your bedroom.Start with a thorough clean and chuck session, then when you’re rid of the clutter think about moving around furniture to make the room flow better. After that is the fun part! If you live with your partner work at making your room an inviting and romantic space you’ll both enjoy coming home to. If you’re single go nuts and make the most of it. You can have your room exactly how you like while you don’t have to share it - so if you love pink don’t hold back.
