This month’s theme is Obsessions so we wanted to challenge you to get a bit obsessive yourself whether it’s finding local wine or caring for people in third world countries…
TAME
Find a fun obsession. We all need something in life we’re really passionate about, so whether it’s learning a language, collecting something random or pursuing a hobbie, find something you can be bit a kooky about and other people automatically know is your ‘thing’.
Think local when it comes to your food. Make an effort to buy produce grown in your region and take the time to head along to a farmer’s market in your area. This is a great challenge if you have lots of vineyards nearby… ditch the supermarket wine and go on a mission to find something locally grown.
INTERMEDIATE
Avoid a chocolate binge and do your loved ones a favour this Easter. For just $25.00 you can donate 10 Baby Chickens to a family in Sri Lanka. Find out more here. Of course you don’t have to go egg-less, click here for our guide to making your own Easter eggs.
If you do succumb to all those marshmallow and crème eggs then a bit of exercise might be on the cards. Click here to check out our fitness regime and aim to follow it all month.
CHALLENGING
Plant a vege garden. Growing your own vegetables is a great way to make sure you’re eating healthily, and if you’re responsible for them you know they won’t be laden with pesticides. Do your research, start small, keep it simple and you should be enjoying the fruits of your labour in no time.
Start writing the life story of one of your grandparents. Chances are your grandfather has seen a lot in his time, he might have experienced the Depression, fought in the war and has definitely lived through so much change. Finding out about the life experiences of an older person can be fascinating, especially when it’s someone you care about. This document should help you get started.
