Our challenges in August were so successful we've decided to bring you some every month. Here are September's...
TAME
Send it Snail Mail
Emails maybe quick and convenient but nothing compares to walking to your mailbox (outside not on your computer!) and seeing an envelope with your name on it. Let friends or family members know how much you love them by handwriting your thoughts.
Moisturise Daily
With the legs suffering from months of regret it’s time to suck it in and start getting them in condition for summer. Exfoliate and moisturise your legs everyday, paying special attention to your butt and thighs. That way when that perfect day comes along you won’t be too afraid to throw on the mini and head outside.
INTERMEDIATE
Visit your Neighbours
They may be strange, elderly or incredibly cute, but they can also be very handy. Getting to know your neighbours by sharing a cuppa or bringing them some muffins is a great way to earn some brownie points. So next time you go on holiday and your cat needs feeding…
Start a Savings Account
No not in case of a rainy day, but in case of a sunny one. Imagine waking up one morning and jumping on the first flight out of town to somewhere exciting or exotic. It doesn’t mean tightening the purse strings; just put aside money whenever you have a little extra lying around. Better yet make a money jar and watch your pennies pile up.
CHALLENGING
Give Blood
I know it seems strange to voluntarily watch a needle go into your arm and take a bag of blood, but this is one challenge that is seriously worth it. Just one donation is enough to save three peoples' lives so it’s a good way to redeem your sins and create some good karma in the world.
Sew Something
Put the Home Economic skills you learnt in Form One to use and make something. For those of you challenged in the ‘Arts & Crafts’ field it could be as simple as a tea towel or a hair band. Feeling ambitious? Try making that ‘too expensive’ top you’ve been eyeing up for ages. There is nothing better than wearing things that have been tailor made.
