Never before has a product caused such commotion. Giggles seem to follow this product around where ever it goes, yet, it’s hardly a laughing matter.
In fact, we’ve proven that you really shouldn’t introduce laughter into the equation if you want to get the full benefit of this new widget.
Durex, the company always looking for new and exciting ways to make our love lives even better, has introduced their latest ingenious idea…Durex Play Vibrations, “a stimulation ring for him and her”.
I knew that my good little Catholic boy might not be so keen on trying something along the lines of this, I gently ‘raised’ the subject (oh god, this editorial could get me in a lot of trouble), hoping to encourage him by letting him know that our lovely, sweet Gemma had given it a go and given it the thumbs up (whilst turning just a tad red).
Knowing how competitive he is and how his evil brain works, I knew he’d go with the train of thought that whatever Gemma could do, he could do better (the two of them have a long history of one-up-man-ship, spanning back to a notorious night where they decided to play the game ‘slaps’…don’t ask, just trust Gemma when she says don’t play with Ken).
Anyhow, armed and ready with a packet or three, I amazed myself at my own stupidity; I should have known that when you tell someone not to laugh, generally that’s first thing they do.
Unfortunately, as I’ve already stated, you shouldn’t make a boy laugh when you’re trying hard to be sexy and naughty and well, let’s be frank, the subject was ‘dropped’. He had the giggles badly, I was miffed and there was nothing else to do in my dejected state except roll over and go to sleep.
Or so I thought….
A week later (and determined to not be the only one in the office who hadn’t done a decent road test of this thing), we headed out for a ‘quiet’ one and ended up falling out of the taxi at 4am. Now was definitely the opportune time to give it another whack. As I write this, I still have a very smug look on my face.
However, I’m not going to ruin my good reputation (stop laughing Sarah), so let’s keep my review simple…
GO AND BUY ONE. Trust me on this one.
It lives up to its reputation as a very good time (in fact, Durex call it a ‘quivering’ good time) and is handily available at supermarkets and pharmacies – and all for about $11.95. What a bargain.
My new recipe for a good time….a bottle of wine, home cooked meal, enthralling DVD that you don’t mind missing, a Durex Play Vibrations ring and rain pouring down outside.
