Colour is the instant cue of summer, not only do all the clothes on the shelves start moving away from blacks and browns, but our skin gets coloured too! The new season tones this year are just the thing to make any fashionista happy. We take a look at our favourite new season colours from tangerine toned oranges to yummy yellows!
Orange
Luella Bartley was my favourite orange from the runways, although kiwi designer Alexandra Owen would be a close second. Both designers toy with the amazing luminosity and drama of a colour rarely used in fashion circles. The result? Nearly every store this season has an orange offering – make sure you get yours! Warmer than a blue, more dramatic than a grey – purple is one of those nifty colours that goes with everything. I really love it on a gauzy chiffony dress, or a fantastic accent top in deep, purple shades. However you will find periwinkles and pale sorbety hues amongst the clothing racks this season.

2: ¾ Sleeve Butterfly cardigan $119.00 from Jaqui.E
A short, sharp citrus makes short work of dull winter basics; after all what screams summer more than yellow? House of Holland did an amazing 80s acid yellow, which resembled sunshine through orange fabric. My pick has to be the designs of Giles Deacon who simultaneously toys with the brightness of the hue and its wearability.
3: Beach Bohemia Maxi dress $145.00 from Just Jeans
Blue
Cooling blue is just the thing to wear on a hot summer's day, and the Picadilly Circus top is my favourite blue item this season. The soft feminine 40s styled top is amazingly cut, and the fabric looks like clouds from a distance.
To set those colours off make sure your skin has a gorgeous glow from head to toe with Johnson's Holiday Skin lotion (RRP $7.95-$9.95). It's an ingeious moisturiser and fake tan product all in one, and it's the best way to get a natural looking tan with out any burns or fuss! Simply apply to your body each morning for a stunning and subtle glow. We've got 10 fantastic Holiday Skin prize packs to give away here!
