Looking forward to the new season trends but not sure on how to wear them? Anya has tackled some of the trickiest trends from spring summer to make sure you are looking and feeling great in everthing from acid yellow to ruffles!
Brights
I’ll fess up and say, I have a thing for really bright pieces of clothing. There is nothing like a little acid yellow to make your day shine like the sun. However I also know that not everyone else is as accepting of a new bright wardrobe. Make it work by reaching for the brights in separates and pairing these back with more neutral pieces. Another great option is reaching for a print with just a little bit of bright in it, or a chiffon piece that will naturally not appear as bright when placed against the skin.
Everyone knows that Tee has a big thing for ruffles but they can be a little daunting to wear. My personal favourite way to get around this is to look for items that have soft ruffles around the neckline; they can add a little bulk to small chests or lead the eye up to pretty faces. And whilst Ruffles below may be a little frightening, the extra volume can just help your pins look slimmer, and as long as its paired with a nipped waist and a slim line top the effect should be hourglass not frumpy!

The biggest pitfall in feeling comfortable in a maxi dress is just accepting the fact that there is a lot of fabric. You will look in the mirror and you will see a lot of dress, and that’s OK – in fact that’s the point. The thing is that the style is very wearable, a slit for those with shorter legs. A little bit of flesh showing on top to balance out what’s going on below, and some fun shoes to give people something to look at whilst they are gazing at the floor is enough to make it work. Oh and a little fashion bravery – just a dash!
