Got a great outdoor event coming up? Looking for a fun, new look? Our style guru Anya gave three nzgirl staffers some great outfit ideas for the upcoming Lindauer Melbourne Cup! Check out our tips for the perfect party wear for the upcoming season.  Pear: Bonnie, Commercial Director I love how brave bonnie is with fashion, she has a distinct eye and knowledge of what looks great on her paired with the confidence to pull anything off. That’s why I love the look with the fantastic Titler hat, paired with this great figure flattering dress in a zesty yellow. The combination is perfect for her pale skin and blue eyes. With such a dramatic hat we can tone it down with the accessories; a cute pair of flats completes the look. Perfection! Our tips - If your dress and hat have a lot of impact play it safe and basic with the footwear.
- Yellow is a little bit of colour perfection for blondes, whether the yellow is golden, bronze or citrus toned.

We paired this sweetheart neckline dress with a retro inspired peep toe shoe to lengthen Miss Ramarea’s petitely proportioned legs, whilst a little woven clutch is a great pair for her vintage inspired hat! Tres chic!
Our tips: - Strapless dresses are great for petite frames, as well as a little bit of unexpected volume.
- Peep toe heels lengthen the leg.
- Colour looks great against those with medium to dark skin tones, try purple or blue.

Petite/Slim Athletic:  Tee, Editor in Chief Tee has a love for the colour red, girlish touches and ruffles, so this fantastic dress from Lippy was an immediate stand out. With so much happening on the dress and with the hat we toned it down with neutral accessories. The hat has a lot of detail which is the perfect lift for Tee’s dark hair, whilst also keeping her pale skin protected from the sun – practical and stylish! Our tips - If you want to try ruffles, try having them placed around the neckline or the middle of the dress going down vertically for a universally flattering look.
- Cinched waist silhouettes work well for all body types.
- When playing with loud colours like our red try not to shy away, instead embrace the colour and make the impact. It's not bad to stand out in a crowd!
