Off Wax Bar
Ever gone for a Brazilian wax and walked out smiling? No? Well, pay a visit to Nicky and her amazing team at Off Wax Brow Bar in Newmarket, and I swear you will! These ladies are nothing short of amaze! Not only do they give a superior wax (whether it’s for your eyebrows, legs or bikini – there’s not a single hair out of place after they’ve dealt to you), but they are so friendly! Walking into the super gorgeous salon is like walking into a room full of girlfriends you just haven’t met yet, seriously. These girls have taken waxing and made it fun – that's no easy feat! Don’t put that wax off any longer, click here to visit their website or ring (09) 520 3212 to book an appointment. I promise they’ll look after you!
Pussycat Dolls, Doll Domination Deluxe Edition
I have a confession to make; I heart the new Pussycat Dolls’ CD, Doll Domination! I’m not really a PCD fan, but once I chucked the CD on I couldn’t stop listening to it. I love lead singer (OK, pretty much the only singer!) Nicole Scherzinger’s amazing voice, and they have some awesome collaborations with R.Kelly, Snoop Dogg and Missy Elliot. Although there are a few lameo songs, for the most part it’s filled with fun, poppy tracks perfect for singing along and dancing with your girlfriends. The Deluxe Edition also has a bonus CD, which features a solo song from each of the girls (my fav is Melody Thornton’s ‘Space’). Don’t be a hater – check out the CD first!

thehinitative and the Mental Health Foundation have joined forces to create a range of limited edition, super cute tees to help celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week (October 6-12). Wearing one of these funky tee’s is an easy way to make two statements at once – 1) that you’re stylish and 2) that you’re supporting a great cause. Get involved and make your mark for mental health by picking up one of these t-shirts from Jet in Auckland, selected retail stores nationwide or online from thehinitative’s website (from October 4). If you’re in Auckland or Wellington, you may have noticed a few gorgeous adshells lighting up the city with the very cute Flossie.com logo. Whatever you need, it’s on Flossie, and to prove the point there are a few adshells out and about which have been filled with loads of girly goodies for you to grab! We’ve jammed them with some of our fav treaties and essentials, from Carefree Silk Ease Tampons to scrummy Malteesers and juicy Charlie’s oranges. Keep your eyes peeled, there’s loads more to come, and remember whatever you need, it’s on Flossie.com!
Smith Bar
On the lookout for a new drinking hot spot? Here in the office we’ve fallen in love with Smith Bar at Auckland’s Britomart. The stylish architecture is quirky and luxe – the perfect spot for some after work drinks or a girly catch up. With a delectable range of cocktails and wine for the ladies, and a great selection of quality port and beers (or maybe a beer for you?) for the guys, there’s something for everyone. Smith also does a delicious range of tosties and also offer the chic option of high tea! How old school! Smith Bar is an nzgirl fav, you’ll find them on the corner of Galway and Commerce Streets at Britomart. Click here to visit their website.
