You know that girl who always looks fantastic after a late night out, can slip herself into a skin tight LBD and not have the faintest buldge, and can wear sky high heels all night without the slightest bit of pain?
Well you don't have to be jealous any more! Use our fashion fixers and you'll be feeling just as confident and looking just as great!
Fashion Problem: 2am skin So you went out last night, and may have had a few too many drinks. Between dinner and the last glass of wine you didn’t realise that it was 2.30 in the morning and you have work the next day. And whilst the Berocca has pepped you up, you definitely look like you have only had three and a half hours sleep. Fashion Fix: Skip the foundation, it’s just going to stick into every crevasse and show up how dehydrated your skin is. Instead use tinted moisturiser or foundation mixed with moisturiser and an illuminator. Apply this over a light dusting of pale pink blusher on your entire face. Use a light shimmery eye shadow and natural tinged pink gloss. You will look instantly revitalised without being bogged down. As for the tired eyes, always have eye drops in your bathroom cabinet. Your tummy seems to stick out a little more than it used to and was it always this tight around your hips? Fashion Fix: Celebs always look fantastic in their form fitting dresses because they know the joy that is shape wear. If you think they are blessed with looking that smoothes in that dress you are wrong, its all Nancy ganz and spanx. Go for shape wear that fits properly and address your issues. Spanx or bike short styles are good for the high and thigh area, high waist styles for stomachs and hips and clinchers are good for creating a waist. And forget VPL with soft lacy or micro fine boy legs.
Fashion Problem: Less than lavish LegsThis generally happens a lot during the time you move from winter to spring, suddenly hemlines get a lot shorter and the fact you ignored your legs for an entire season means maybe they are not up for the challenge. Fashion Fix: Sheer pantyhose is the kind of magical thing that at 18 you don’t get the point of, and at 23 you begin to understand. A magical thing that makes cellulite disappear, hides the fact you may have missed the leg shave in the shower and basically makes your legs look amazingly taught and toned? Give them to me now! For those less than convinced a circular buff with a good bronzer on a circular brush or a spray with Sally Hansen Airbrush legs are also good choices. Fashion Problem: One hour ShoesOprah calls them “one hour shoes”, the kind you buy because they are beautiful but punish you with pinching, aching and burning. Or maybe they simply don’t want to play along, with slipping straps or heel wobbles. Think shoes so annoying or painful that you can literally only wear them for an hour. Fashion Fix: Your feet slip forward in your shoes? Cut hearts out of felt and stick them to the inside of your sandals to avoid the dreaded foot slip. Your favourite heels make your feet burn – use party feet! My tip is to not put them in until your feet actually begin to hurt; it makes the relief that much better! I’m also a fan of blister plasters when I wear shoes that rub. Anya Merryfield |
