This week we've got loads of love to share in the nzgirl office! Check out who and what we're giving it too... Jenene! How could we not Hot Five this amazing lady? 2008 has been a massive year for Jenene. She’s taken the nzgirl team and tripled it, cooked up an ambitious dream and literally made the goods! Yesterday saw the launch of Flossie.com – Jenene’s latest addition to the nzgirl/Flossie family. Jenene started nzgirl at the tender age of 21, and now nine years later is the proud CEO of Flossie Media Group. Not only is she an inspiration to the entire team, she’s also a fabulous boss and friend to us all. Jenene – you’re amaze!
Spring
Ah bliss! Bye bye rainy days and hello spring! After a seemingly endless cloudy, rainy and windy winter, we’re super excited to see that spring is here. Here in the nzgirl office we’ve already started whipping out our floaty summer dresses, stocking up on the Fru Jus and getting excited about summer! With such beautiful weather, it's hard not to stop smiling. Make sure you’re getting out and about and soaking up some much needed spring goodness too!
VNZMA Announcements On Wednesday night the finalists for this year’s Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards were announced. Liselle and myself jammed in to the Langham to hear just who made the cut – with the hilarious Dai Henwood (who looked very spiffy in his suit) making all the announcements. Tiki Taane dominates this year’s Awards, with a whooping six noms, followed by Liam Finn with four spots, while Flight of the Conchords, Shihad and the Phoenix Foundation all grab three each. This year’s VNZMA are set to be bigger than ever – with the location moving from the Aotea Center to the Vector Arena. Make sure you’re there on October 8 - click here for more info!
Bonds Hi-Top range
We were thrilled when these gorgeous little gingerbread (wo)men landed in the office! Iced in adorable yellow and blue underwear, these delicious babies were our invites to the launch of the new Bonds summer range. These treaties were just the beginning – Anya and I are excited to report that the new Bonds range is absolutely hot! This summer Bonds is going sky high – think fabulous hi-top briefs (perfect for hiding those awful muffin tops!) in gorgeous brights and bold patterns. Keeping with the clever theme, the launch was held at the Sky Tower, and Anya and I were even treated to a wicked (but totally scary!) Sky Walk – 192 metres above the ground!
Flossie smart cars You may have seen these little babies buzzing around Auckland lately – they are the fabulous Flossie Fleet! These adorable smart cars are the latest addition to the team. With the super cute Flossie logo, the slick black and their super cute size, we love the Flossie smart cars. They’re also great for the environment and wallets as well - using around only 5 litres of petrol per 100km. Keep an eye out for the Flossie Fleet over the next couple of weeks – they’ll be giving out loads of goodies!
