This month the nzgirl team have been busy shopping up a storm with some super cute tee's, jewllery goodies and scrummy treats... Anya, Fashion and Beauty Editor: Metal Flower Cuff from Diva RRP: $29.95When I spied the giant metal poppy cuff by Chloe my heart raced. Big, bold and brash it’s an amazing statement piece of jewellery. However my heart quickly sank after reading the price tag - NZ$1060.50. Eek! So in the weekend, while indulging in some serious retail therapy I found the Metal Flower Cuff in Diva for a mere $29.95 and it had to be mine! Now this baby is adding a touch of giant flowery goodness to all my outfits and shockingly, I prefer my Diva one over the originals! Ramarea, Content Producer: I Heart Sleep tee from Cotton On RRP: $12.50Yes, I do heart sleep! I probably didn’t really need to buy this but it’s so cute and so cheap! I think it’s meant to be a pyjama top, but I love it so much I wear all the time while out and about. It fits me perfectly and I love the sparkly red heart. When I showed my super buy to my best friend, she laughed at me and said “It should really say ‘I heart buying crap!’”, which is probably true, but at $12.50 it was a cheap fix! Tee, Editor: Antique 3-Tier Jewellery Stand from etsy.com RRP: $US60.50 + postage This month I’m reporting on an item that I’m lusting after. It’s not even wearable. But it is amaze! Delightful jewellery holders and stands are a rare find and this has to be the first I’ve seen in awhile that is almost (if not more) gorgeous than the jewellery that would be housed within! One of my favourite Etsy sellers to window shop in, Whomadeit, converts the most delicate and ornate antique crockery, porcelain and vintage cups, saucers and bowls into two, three or four tiered stands to hang earrings, hold trinkets and display treasures! If only the postage wasn’t half the cost of the amazingness!
Nadia Keane, Campaign Executive: Tri Stretch Bangle from WitcheryRRP: AU$29.95 My fav buy this month is this fabulous Tri Stretch Bangle. I have seen this style of jewellery in a few places lately so, I decided it was time to jump on this hot band wagon. When I stumbled across this bargain in Witchery I couldn’t resist! It has only been part of my jewellery box family for a week now but, I have already worn it lots. And though it is stock standard silver, it is quite the statement piece and I am in love! Vicky, Campaign Manager: Threadless tee RRP: US$12.00I was so inspired by Sarah’s last Art’s Insider – particularly her review on the Threadless tee’s that I just had to check the site out for myself….and oops, I ended up buying more than one! With so many fresh, unique, and quirky designs I was spoilt for choice. I literally scrolled the site for a good 45 minutes compiling my shopping list! I finally settled on this one and this one. I love the fact that their website is user friendly, always updated with new designs and their tee’s are affordable! I’ll be shopping there again…. Sarah, Art Director: The Office, American Version, Series 1 on DVD RRP: $14.99 I am a huge fan of The Office and already have the British version DVD box set. I was sceptical at first when watching the American version as it pretty much copied the British version and not very well. But now it has come into its own and is very different from the awkward British humour. I love it all the same and it makes my Wednesday nights extra special. I bought the first series on DVD from JB Hi-fi on sale for $14.99. I haven’t watched it all yet but am slowly going through it… Isla, Content Producer: Tamari roasted almonds from healthy.co.nz RRP: $6.80 My staff buy this week is the great, the almighty, Tamari roasted almonds! I was feeling a little worried about having food as a staff buy because it kind of seems like I’m saying “Hey, I love food and it’s all I think about.” But then I realised that you probably all think about food just as much as I do, and we have to share food insider secrets. Anyway, this week I came across Tamari roasted almonds by Ceres and they’re seriously good. Like, new addiction good. A handful’s the perfect size for a snack, plus they’re almonds so they’re good for you, yay!
