My Mum always said, “When you find a good basic buy it – you can never have too many black skirts or pants...” And to be honest this one little phrase is probably to blame for my excessive hoarding of little black dresses.
That aside it is some good advice, after all how many of us have had our favourite pair of jeans die on us only to spend the next year searching for another pair that's just as flattering?
So whilst the pictured button front skirt from Wish design is not really pushing the fashion envelope, it’s one of those things that calls out “Buy me! I’ll make your life easier!” See this little skirt can be a work wear essential now with hosiery and a heavy shoe, and in the summer time with a pair of patent flats and bare legs. But can’t you just imagine this skirt with a little cap sleeve tee (tucked in of course) a cardi with some jaunty nautical stripes and a pair of sandals.
The great fit, the little bits of detailing (showy but not too showy), and the cut and length make it just one of those items you must have.
