OK, I’ll be honest; I found this tiered cami from Witchery in the intimates section. So technically it’s meant to be lingerie, but with a top this cute who wants to hide it away?
Soft layers of gauzy white fabric edged with black creates tiers on the basic tank shape. Think of it with a sleek black suit, or worn casually with grey Nudie jeans.
The first thing that pulled me in was the simplicity of this piece, which is surprising seeing as it’s covered in a multitude of ruffly tiers. But, it looks simple even if it isn’t. With simplicity comes freshness, and that fantastic little word - chic. This top is tres chic!
With some sneaky runway hunting I found versions of this little number everywhere, and with tiers and ruffles being big buys for summer it won’t go out of style any time soon. My bet is to buy it a size too large and wear it tunic style, belted in at the waist with a Kagi necklace, hair pulled back and some nifty shorts and heels. Very haute couture and not at all lingerie section.
