We love Divas! Any girl who can belt out a kick ass song definitely gets our vote. That's why we were super excited when the Ladies First album landed in our office.  

A new compilation filled with 20 hot tracks, all preformed by the hottest divas out, from Rihanna to Gwen, and Fergie to Leona! It's an essential must have for any nzgirl, filled with songs for every mood (whether you want to shake it up on the dance floor or lash out a power ballad with your girlfriends).

Seeing as this month we're all about luxe ladies and Pin-ups, we thought it only appropriate that we get the team to share their fav divas from the Ladies First album… Best of all, we've got five copies to give away. The diva I’m loving right now is… Leona Lewis, ‘Bleeding Love’
Why I’m loving her… It doesn't matter how many times I hear Leona piping out her breakthrough hit, 'Bleeding Love', it still makes me want to be a trilling songstress diva! Every good song needs a sprinkler scene as the song hits its peak and 'Bleeding Love's' video delivers. An eternal fav!

The diva I’m loving right now is… Anna Nalick, ‘Breathe 2am’
Why I’m loving her… Two words – GREY’S ANATOMY! I was sold the minute I heard it on Grey’s, and have loved it to bits ever since. True – it is a bit of a soppy one, but has some really cool poetic and thought provoking lyrics!

The diva I’m loving right now is... Adele, ‘Chasing Pavements’
Why I’m loving her… This lady has such a wicked voice – she always gives me goosebumps! I love her husky voice, the slightly emo vibe to the song, and the fact that it still manages to be a very fun sing-a-long. Adele is awesome!

The diva I’m loving right now is… Regina Specktor, ‘Fidelity'
Why I’m loving her… I definitely don’t think of Regina Specktor as a diva but, she’s definitely cool and I love her! Her song ‘Fidelity’ is super awesome and quirky, and a great fun song when you want to laugh and be silly. And “it breaks my ha haha ha haha heart”! Oh it’s actually a sad song – my bad! But, it’s still cool!

The diva I’m loving right now is… Natasha Beddingfield, ‘Love Like This’
Why I’m loving her… I have a real soft spot for pseudo hippies with super colourful videos. She’s just so happy all the time! It’s almost a love hate relationship, but at the moment it’s more love.

The diva I’m loving right now is… Kelly Rowland, ‘Work’
Why I’m loving her… I just can’t help but ‘do a little dance’ when I hear this song. It is just so cool – and who would have thought all those years ago in Destiny’s Child (remember the jodhpurs?) that Kelly Rowland would be able to still nail the sexy look and sound 10 years on.

The diva I’m loving right now is… Amy Winehouse, ‘Tears Dry On Their Own’
Why I’m loving her… I have her CD and really love it.  It’s gutsy and groovy, and she has a great band behind her.

The diva I’m loving right now is… Yael Naim, ‘New Soul’
Why I’m loving her… I am obsessed with buying music that I have heard on ads and TV programmes (mainly Grey’s Anatomy). I like obscure artists with unique voices and good as guitar playing skills. This is definitely a fav.

The diva I’m loving right now is… Robyn, 'Be Mine!'
Why I'm loving her... From questionable pop begginings in the 90s Robyn has emerged as my favourite of the pop crossover girls. It might have something to do with her 80s style, but I find Robyn and her songs pretty infectious. Even though this song is sad, it's happy enough to listen to!
