Mini skirts are so often thought of as the foe of the female figure. Generally, they have a habit of showing off all of the bad and none of the good!
This little number from Dotti however, has me excited. Denim is firm so it helps suck in the tummy and hips, and this one is cut a little higher on the waist for a flattering fit. A firm waist band nips you in and makes sure your shape isn’t lost, but a little bit of a ruffled full skirt gives the body balance.
If you are blessed with strong full thighs this baby will work wonders for you, whilst if you have slim pins it will look just as flattering! Yes it’s short, but not hugely so. You can feel comfortable wearing it when the weather gets warmer, and without tights. But for right now, the chambary wash denim would look great with grey ribbed wool tights and leather heels.
The inspiration for the look is Dotti’s new country and western theme for summer, “My way or the highway”, but the cute tailoring of the skirt could easily do a nautical inspiration, or work well with a tailored shirt for a casual office.
