I thought long and hard about finding a luxury item that you could get a lot out of; something that would essentially be “worth the money”. For that outrageous price tag to be justified, I decided the item had to work in a variety of situations – so no silk dresses. It had to be trans-seasonal so no cashmere coats. It had to not be completely trendy, so no statement handbags, but at the same time it had to be something a little different, so no little black dresses. It would be a higher price tag sure, but not so high that it’s ridiculous (so no $2000 Lanvin gowns either) – yet nothing cheap and nasty!
The stunning purple stiletto from French Connection UK is what I would call luxury that ticks all the boxes. Yes the shoes are almost $300, but they are designer shoes at a somewhat more affordable price tag than the Louboutin’s of the world, yet they are still high quality and feature designer styling. You won’t just wear them for a season and then throw them away, but they will make you feel amazing and they are just a little bit silly or luxurious.
Most of all people will ask you about your gorgeous shoes, and you will be able to tell them the little story of how they came to be in your life. About the clothing brand known for quality that started in 1972. Lastly you will adore them and they will make you feel adored – like any good luxury should do!
